Why must you organise the ducks?

Sun Oct 4, 2009, 12:45 PM
  • Mood: Christmas Spirited
  • Listening to: Backyard Babies - Degenerated
  • Drinking: Lingonsaft
My flatmate and I went for a walk today from Angel (where we live) along the tow-path along the Regency Canal to Camden Town for a spot of eating and shopping. My flatmate, having done this walk before, came prepared with several slices of slightly stale bread with which to feed the ducks on the canal =)

This may or may not have led to me yelling at the ducks cos I had a system and they weren't adhering to it. I've decided I'm going to have to buy lots more bread to go back and feed the ducks more and start training them to work with my system =D

I was texting a friend earlier, and on him asking how my day had been, I told him about the ducks. The response was "Why must you organise the ducks?".

Cos they need organising.

I took pictures, but I've yet to work out how to get them from my phone to computer.
In other news, agh, Fuck, lectures start tomorrow, I actually have to have a proper routine and get up at 'normal' hours =S

Planen för kvällen: titta på crap på interneten, köka nån mat, titta på mer crap, ta ett bad, titta på mer crap, stanna upp för sent på msn. Yay.

You know it's good day when you're playing Trivial Pursuit with your family and this question pops up: Which book, originally titled in Swedish "Bilbo - En hobbits äventyr", was originally published in 1937?

:D

Happy New Year!

Hey do you have any idea yet when the UCL Open Days are yet?

Hej,
I have a list of the interview/open day thingies (which I've volunteered myself to help out at!) if you wanted an idea of what kind of dates they tend to be, but obv they're invitational only for peoples applying this year.

Other than that, the main UCL open day is Thurs 2nd July (I've no idea why they only do one main one, and why it's in July). There will be a couple of UoL ones next september, but obv they aren't as detailed and UCL focused as the one in July.
there's some info on it here: [link] and there should be a little thing of what the scandy dept is putting on for the day (not much, but hey) somewhere.

Thanks! I meant the big open day, since I'm not applying till this time next year, and not actually starting my first year in Uni until September 2011 (it seems so far away!). What kind of stuff does tha scandy studies dept usually do on the big open day?

Cool cool, thought it would be that, but wasn't 100% :) And 2011 is gonna come round scarily quickly!
Tbh, I'm not entirely sure, as I didn't actually go to the July open day when I was applying, just the UoL one in Sept - learn from my mistake!

Tho from the website thingy, the only specific thing is a talk about the Nordic Welfare states and why Scandinavia is Generally wonderful, not sure who's giving that, but could be interesting.

Also says staff and students will be around to chat to (tho I thought our term had ended by then, but hey) through the day in some room.

Then there's all the various talks and tours that are for UCL in general. Fun fun!
